My name is Kiera Bryant and I live in Sandy Springs (a northern suburb of Atlanta), Georgia. I would describe my home as a treehouse-cottage-penthouse...really, it's a third floor apartment with a wooded view, but a girl can dream. I'm single and have 4 cats - Bellatrix, Rigel, Castor, and Pollux. Please DON'T ask me for pictures of them because I WILL show them to you, and then you'll have trouble getting me to stop.
I'm an aspiring author of Paranormal Romance and YA Fantasy novels. I began writing as a child, but ventured into writing romance novels as a freshman in college. (I'd been reading them since before I was old enough to really understand the innuendos and subtle descriptions of the sex scenes...perhaps, this is why I graduated to more...let's say "descriptive" novels. That said, I love me a good sex scene, but I am one of those snooty romance readers (and writers) who doesn't just like sex for the sake of sex. It has to move the story, the characters, and the readers. If it doesn't, then it's not necessary.)
An English-Creative Writing and Classical Civilization major from Agnes Scott College, I have a wide array of interests that span from astronomy to European mythology. Whichever way you slice it, though, I am...a geek. A passionate Backstreet Boys fan since the age of 11, I met my very best friend through their music. KTBSPA! (If you know what this means, chances are I'll probably want to shake your hand.)
As a reader, I'm mostly into romance novels, although there is a special place in my heart for Tolkien and Rowling. My favorite paranormal romance author is Kresley Cole, who also happens to be her favorite historical romance author. *Seriously, if you're into PNR and you HAVEN'T read Kresley Cole, you're doing yourself a huge disservice!*
Some of you may be wondering how the name "Kassiopeia's Words" was chosen. Well, in Ancient Greek, Kassiopeia literally means "she whose words excel". I'm a nut for the Classics, so there you have it.
